A superb set for the home or professional chef, this one offers 14 knives and other tools in a handsome black attaché case with latches and carry handle. The seven knives included are a bread, small chef's, large chef's, paring, shaping, boning, and carving. The other tools consist of a chef's fork, spatula, lemon peeler, lemon zester, melon baller, potato peeler, and sharpening steel. The knife blades are hand-finished in Switzerland of high-carbon, no-stain steel with tapered, ground edges, and the handles are molded of Fibrox, a pleasingly textured synthetic that provides excellent grip even when wet, and resists bacteria growth for the utmost in hygiene.

Lightweight yet balanced to reduce tiring over extended use, the knives retain their sharp edges and are readily resharpened when necessary. 5 FU@%ing Stars!!! AMAZING KNIVES!
I replaced a set of mediocre Cuisinart knives recently. After reading the reviews and considering more expensive knives I decided to take a chance with the R.H. Forschner 14 pc set. I also ended up buying the 7" santoku knife, Forschner kitchen shears, the 6 pc set of steak knives with the pointed tips and a TruBamboo 19-Piece Knife Block. Total Cost after shipping $275!! I wanted a nice bamboo block for my new knives and everything fits perfectly in the block like the set was made for it! The setup looks and performs like a $1000 set of knives. My favorite is the 8" chefs knife and the santoku(not included in this set). The knives are very rigid and balanced and cut like a laser beam through anything!
I cannot be happier!

Victorinox 14pcs. Chef Case
this set is very well recommended and I've been using victorinox for 7 years now and have no problems with it. i have the rosewood handles and just purchased this set to get ones i can use more at work with better grip. i am recommending this set for profressionals and just plain household use if you want quality and lasting life on your knives

Great set for a great price!
I just purchased this set a few weeks ago and love it. It does feature some knives that I dont normally use, but compared to the 8 knife set, you get so much more for only $20! Just today I was slicing some older refridgerated tomatoes. I was suprised at how thin i was able to slice them! The look of the knife is pretty generic, but I love how they slice!
